Increasingly over the last year we at The Institute for Green Business Certification (IGBC) have had an ever increasing number company who service large business and/or municipalities tell us their clients are asking them, the supplier/vendor, about their "Green Initiative". On occasion they have been told 'if they could not provide documentation they would not be considered a vendor in the future'. And 'they would not tolerate Green-Washing'. Green Business Certification (a third party accreditation) is the answer. It tells your customer base that a recognized organization has looked at your business and declared the business to be GREEN.

We believe this will be a growing trend under the Obama Administration.

In this ever increasing world of internet fraud and Green Washing, check to see if a "Green" company/orgnization has a Better Business Bureau (BBB) rating. If not, find out why! A "Green Certification" is only as good as the company certifying it. IGBC has the highest BBB rating attainable.
