Medium to Large:
IGBC is believed to be the oldest accrediting organization to certify business practices using a comprehensive Green Audit that is becoming a model for what it means to be a green business. The IGBC Audit evaluates the green initiatives of a business in 10 major categories: Waste Reduction, Recycling, Reduction in Office Material Usage, Purchasing, Energy Saving, Water Conservation, Pollution Prevention, Reduction in Chemical Usage, Proper Handling of Pollutants, and Reduced Emissions.

Small Business:
IGBC's certification process has been utilized by medium to large companies all over the world with success. The process seems to exclude a vast majority of the world's economic system "Small Business". Businesses that have fewer than 6 employees wanted to join the growing Green Community and, as a result, we created an Internet based certification process for small business. The new process utilizes our recently created Small Business Green Audit. To our knowledge we are the first "Third Party" certification process in place for small business.
