Congratulations on taking the first steps to becomeing a "Green Business Environmental Specialist" (GBES). Businesses in the forefront of becoming "Green Certified," have seen incredible results. An increase in publicity for their business, increasing sales, a reduction in their carbon foot print and, in most cases, a reduction in operating cost are some of them, while helping to make this world a better place now and for future generations. Once you've completed the course you will be issued a certificate and will have earned the right to use the designation GBES.

In today's business environment people who have taken the initiative to receive the expertise needed to take a company green enhance their value to the company as well as the greater world. However, in a world of self proclaimed "experts", and people who have limited knowledge in one or two areas, education alone is not always sufficient.

The Institute for Green Business Certification, Inc. developed this training course to provide third party accreditation based on "The Uniform Standard for Green Business Certification".

This training course is intended to provide the knowledge needed to take a company Green. It is not a detailed education for a specific industry however it dose cove all types of business practices. Specific information on a particular industry is available through an extensive list of links to government agencies and other organization listed at the end of the course.
